This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     mini PCI WiFi Card

    Are the mini PCI cards (for wifi) interchangable (with the appropriate drivers)? There are a few machines I'm interested in (Vaio, for example) but the integrated Wifi uses an Intel 2200 b/g mini PCI card and I was wondering if I could replace with a different mini PCI that is Atheros (sp?) based and give a/b/g...or if I'm better off NOT messing with switching the Wifi mini PCI cards...

    Mini-PCI is a standard size, so there shouldn't be any issues.
