It arrived today at about 11am this morning from fedex. Holy crap this thing is nice. The keyboard and palm rest is more solid than the t43 and z60t at office depot, the thing just feels AWESOME. So far the only flaw (hopefully) is a stuck dim white pixel on the far right edge of the screen that only shows up on black. Will get a review and lots of pictures posted tonight hopefully

this thing is so solid. The only flaw I can think of right off my head right now is the fricking scroll bar software that doesn't seem to work in firefox yet, and the 56 processes running with the computer on. Going to need to clean stuff off, just need to make sure I am wiping stuff I DON'T need :)

Get the latest synaptics software. It works fine. I had same problem with supplied driver, latest driver from synaprics fixed it.

Yes, you need to get rid lot of junk and gunk.. :)

If the touchpad is from Syanptics, download the latest drivers from their website. Old drivers are incompatible with FF.

    Well, here's the link

What I am realling loving about this thing is the lack of any noise. The fan is kinda on I think (not sure). It never comes on or fully ramps on, and there are zero hotspots on this thing. The touchpad is mildy warm, and that is it.

    Congrats man, nice notebook.

You might even want to do a full reformat to get rid of the crapware...nothing better than a fresh machine! :)

    Have fun.

Well, surprisingly there isn't THAT much compared to a toshiba i tried out, but a simple remove software fixed most of it.

Also, is the synaptics touchpad always really touchy? I can barely graze over it and it might open a link or something. Any adjustablity with that?

You can adjust it under the mouse properties of Windows. You can disable tapping or, I think, even adjust how sensitive it is to the tap.
