So i recieved a 2510p to replace my nc6400. I wanted something more portable and lighter and i saw a great deal on a refurbished 2510p from HP.

    Specs:
    u7600 1.2 ghz
    2gb ram
    80 gb 4200rpm hdd
    dvd-burner
    intel 4965agn wlan
    12 wxga LED display

    The good:

Love the build quality. It's sturdy and i feel and hear no creaks when lifting the notebook by its side.

Battery life. It came with a 6 cell battery, and while it sticks out, it gives around 6 hrs of battery life.

keyboard. while the top row keys are smaller, the feel and sound of the keyboad is nice.

    the bad:

heat. around the left palm rest and vent for the cpu, it can get really hot. Installing RMclock, saw that the fan turns on at 60c until it goes back down to 50c. Kinda toasty for my tastes. I updated to the latest bios to see if that would change the fan algorithm, but it didn't make any difference.

the screen. I got a samsung screen. Reading all the dell posts of graininess, i saw it first hand. In most conditions, it's not that bad. but, if looking at a primarily white background, you can definitely see the smearing or jelly like appearance.
