Try booting in safe mode. Does it boot faster?

boot ur notebook.. go to START>START SEARCH> type in "MSCONFIG" go to the tab "Services", Select "Hide all Microsoft Services" and then click "Disable All". Then select the tab "Startup" and select "Disable All". All done, now reboot ur notebook, it will boot much more faster than before.

Also check in BIOS if your hard disks are set to SATA mode.
