    Hi guys.

I'm Gerol. Yesterday I've received my dv2000t and this is my first laptop.

Yesterday and even today I have encountering many problems such as:

    1. After the welcome screen theres a blackout thats very visible with some white lines. (is it a Vista problem or the hardware's?) and when I switch my notebook to sleep mode and when it comes back the fast blackout with lines is shown again and I also encountered graphics fault when I open my laptop.
    2. Some of my CDs are encountering errors when viewing. as in the explorer is malfunctioning and terminating.
    3. Is the 2 mouse buttons are not balanced (the right one is higher than the left)

Please answer my questions. I'm very sorry because I'm just a starter in laptops and I really need your help.

*too bad one of the threads didn't answer me.. so please anyone... please  :(

    hello gerol
    welcome to the forums
firstly yu could try updating all your drivers including the bios from the hp website mostly it seems to be firmware related rather than hardware related
newer versions of firmware may help you out

No need for winflash. If my memory serves me right, just use the exe file of the bios upgrade and run it.

well if you do encounter problems again and wish to update your drivers you could go to the site hp.com and type your model number in the search bar you will be given options ranging from troubleshooting to talking to a technician online somewhere in between is the option to update your drivers after you click it you are taken to a nw page asking about your OS (operating system) on clicking the OS installed on your notebook you are taken to page which contains all the drivers for that model and OS if you have nay doubt you could download the active X control the site downloads into your computer and let it automatically check and tell you what driver updates you need
