    so this desktop if anyone still remembers. i bought this back in 2000 nd it was working fine. its running xp professional ive recently installed..SLOW!!(64mb ram)

    so recently, ive bought at 512mb ram stick from ebay. well...it didnt work. at first i thought i bought the wrong one but when i checked on crucial.com, they recommended me 256mb ram? its capable for 768mb w/ 3 slots so i want to get a 512mb not 3x 256mb.
    so can anyone help me? thanks!
