i have a generic battery being used in a G60-249WM laptop and any time the laptop is left and placed somewhere else while on, such as a table or desk, the battery i believe may be losing contact, as the computer just shuts off. what repair can i do, so that my 12 cell battery will work ? oddly, the genuine 6 cell fits and doesn't cause a poweroff when moved.

    thank you

there is slight wiggleability with the generic 12 cell. for small, but still. i'm not sure

the help i am seeking is specific to a HP laptop. I was unaware that this HP forum existed at the time of posting the other post. I would still be open to feedback from people that have had similar experiences with generic batteries on HP laptops, and my problem may be shared by other HP laptop owners who might also be seeking solutions to the same problem, or have a solution that HP laptop owners with similar problems could use.

if the mods would like to close my thread, hopefully they can close the other one. it however, has some valid follow ups that anyone can use.
