My laptop is booting properly. I can hear the windows start up sound. I can event browse the shared files from remote computer. But the monitor stays black.

    Any suggestion?

@p1990 - it is still under warranty? I have 130 days of warranty left. I have to be in USA to claim the warranty which is not possible till august. There is no authorized dealer in my country right now. So either i have to wait till august till i go to USA and contact the HP support service or take a risk and contact some unauthorized support providers over here :). Kinda stuck in dilemma
