Opened up my laptop to install my second HD. (love the fact its an option. My Toshiba has the opening but the manuf decided not to install any of the hardware.)

So to the right I see two card slots I have never seen before. From what I can piece together they are for a tv tuner card.

Question I have is really what do i need two of them for?
Where would the antenna be located? already internal?
Would the input be the HDMI port?
Would the tuner then be digital?

    Laptop parts manual:
    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01550113.pdf

Page 58,59 has the card install instructions. and the part numbers. But searches prove futile in the world of Google.

Can someone provide me with some knowledge on why I have these slots on my laptop etc...

what he said. your Wifi card uses just such a slot as well. many laptops have an additional one free. i think Intel's Turbo Memory modules use those slots as well.

Ok with some searching I found its not just a straight forward mini pci search to find options to fill these slots with computer goodness. what specifically should i search for in terms of the slots tech name?

Ok so I have allot of HD in this laptop (640 total). With another drive the only added benifit I can see is that it can be used for fast page file transfers to speed up the computer (a faster method than using ReadyBoost on a memory card). am I right about this? How would you set this up since my programs are all installed on the c drive?

One if for the tv tuner. The other is for the wireless broadband card that i doubt they will ever actually install in this laptop.
