Okay, so my new company says I can pick from either the nc6000 or the nc4010.

    What does everyone here think?

    Nobbie,

Definitely go for the NC6000. The NC4010 doesn't come with a CD/DVD drive. You need to carry around an optional port rep that has the drive build into it. The NC6000 has the optical drive included, plus, it's modular (removable) so you can pop in an extra battery in its place to up your runtime to 8-9hrs. This slot is also swappable for a FDD or 2nd HDD. A definite plus over the NC4010.

If you have the money, the nc6000 is the best business laptop in production today (IBM T42 included). I know that is a very inflammatory comment, but almost every mag has this model ranked near or at the top of their best lists. I would definitely suggest the nc6000 and its added performance and configurability options over the 4010.
