Say guys, I've just got done setting up XP on an HP nc4400 netbook for my neighbor. Before redoing his computer the brightness wouldn't adjust up or down with the FN f9 f10 keys and the touchpad wasn't working either plus the computer was really dragging so that's why I did a reset for him hoping that would take care of things. The touchpad now works but I still can't adjust the brightness. The other function keys are working. The computer is working fine otherwise. Is there a driver or some adjustment that might be needed here? Any suggestions? Thank you.

    EDIT:
Guys, I found the answer to my problem. As I was sitting here I noticed the screen on the netbook/notebook getting dimmer and dimmer til I could hardly see it. I thought the computer was going haywire. I downloaded the manual for it and found that the F11 key disabled/enabled the ambient light sensor. Didn't know it had one. I clicked on it and disabled it and the screen lite up nice and bright. All is well now.
