Hey. If you have nc6000 I need your help. The laptop has a battery status led next to touchpad that is either green (plugged in) or orange (charging). It was working perfectly before i decided to upgrade the bios (for really no good reason). So after bios update the status led is off all the time - i cant get the battery status anymore... I tried to download older bios, but the latest bios they got is from may of this year.. mine was older. So if you have this laptop and your status led works I need your bios. please download the bootable diskette maker, boot up from diskette and select BACKUP. it will backup your current bios. please post this file here. http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/hpcpqnk/us/download/22830.html

    Anyone else have this issue?

They may have made a change that will turn the LED off when fully charged. My nx8220 does this. When charging, it's orange, when almost full, it's green, when fully charged, it goes off. Just run on batteries for a while and plug AC back in, the light should come back on and back off when full.
