    Hi,

I'm using a HP Compaq nc6000. The laptop stopped charging about two weeks ago. The ac adapter wasn't bringing power into the laptop and as soon as the battery ran out of charge, the laptop wouldn't turn on. I tried pulling the battery out for an extended duration and different outlets. I don't have another laptop that uses the same adapter or another adapter to test.

However, two days ago, it started to work again. The ac adapter worked and I could also use the computer without the battery. However, today, after unplugging it and moving to another class, it stopped charging again with the exact same symptoms as before.

I'm guessing there's a loose connection inside but how can it just reconnect itself randomly especially when it was just sitting on my shelf for 2 weeks, lol.
