If any of you own a nc6400, could you tell me how you feel about it?

Most importantly, how is the matte screen? Is it grainy? Is it bright enough?

And, does the pointing stick work well?

I've had an NC6400 for a little over a month now and I love the performance.

The screen is not grainy whatsoever however it is definitely matte so it is not bright which is really different from what I was used to. It takes some getting used to. I have it hooked up to a 19" flatscreen external monitor for home use.

I don't use the pointing stick so I can't compare it to others. I have a cordless keyboard and mouse hooked up for use at home as well.

I've had no problems with the system whatsoever. The battery life has been more than enough for my usage and it's a light weight work horse which is what I needed.

I'm impressed about how speedy it transfers my photos from the SD card slot on the front of the laptop. Also programs load very quickly. There is no lag time in having several programs running at once which is a major deal for me.

So far I have no complaints about the system.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.

I really appreciate your comments Suzy. Firsthand information on the nc6400 is really tough to find. Thanks!
