Hi, I'm currently shopping around for a new notebook - looks like it'll be either an nc8230 or an nw8240 - and I'm thinking of getting the Basic Docking Station as well.

My question is regarding the DS and the DVI port; does the DVI port provide "real" digital-out, or does it simply act as a port adapter?

Can anyone here shed any light on the image quality provided by the DS in conjunction with an external flat panel monitor? Good, bad, ugly?

    Cheers and TIA! ;) :hp:
