Whenever I unplugged my laptop and turn it on, it hangs during the booting process after the Windows XP logo displays. When I pug it back in there is no problem. I checked the Power Management but cannot see anything there that can cause this.

    Suggestions?

I had the same problem at one point. Try booting it up in safe mode and complete the login processes. Let it run for a few minutes, and then reboot. Does that fix it?

I think this is some kind of software issue, though I'm not certain.

Are you using BIOS rev F.0C or higher? It almost sounds like that might be related to a fix from that release.

I use F.0D...I haven't switched to F.0E since it only adds support for a new LCD HP now uses.

D had some good bug fixes AFAIK.
