    Hi all,

This is my first post. I recently bought a nc8430 refurb (!), and so far there have been no problems. However, when I was putting my Office cd in to install something, the drive was really loud and there was a slight buzzing coming from the right side (probably from vibrations). When I press down on the top right side (between the speaker and the edge of the laptop), the sound went away but the hum was still pretty loud (more of a loud hum than anything jarring).

Can anyone with a nc8430 or know of someone with one confirm if this is normal? I have a DVD/CD-RW, not the DVD writer. It's not really THAT big of an issue, since I woudl only use the drive to install/write CDs and maybe watch a DVD or two (which, actually, would kind of stink if it was that loud).

    Thanks.
