    Hi,
just got my nc8430 and installed everything I need on it.
Then, after creating my DVD Recovery images, I deleted the recovery partition with the tool provided by HP.
Since then, a new D: Cd-Rom drive has appeared. I checked the partition of the laptop and it says it uses the entire available room.

I checked the disk management utility to see where that D: drive comes from, but it's not listed!!! Only my hard disk and my real DVD drive are listed, which is correct.

Any clue how I can get rid off this stupid ghost drive?

    Thanks for any help.

Found the reason. It was another application that reserves D: for virtual ISO drives. Sorry.
