i brought my computer into work today and under flourecent lights, i notice the screen really has a blue tint to it. Is this an HP problem or a did i get a bad screen?

ah adjusted the brightness in the ati settings. looks soooooooooooo much better.

Cool, thats handy to know actually things like that. Glad you got it sorted, things like that can be annoying...
