    Hey guys,

So the left side of my left button under the trackpad of my nc8430 isn't responding anymore. Anyone else been having this problem? My computer is only about four months old so it surprised me - especially since I usually use an external mouse.

I've had mine since about September, and I've so far had to replace my LCD screen and my hard drive. The first had pixel defects that finally showed up, and the hard drive failed.

The good note was that HP was VERY quick in fixing/replacing this stuff. I'd give them a call and have 'em ship you out a new touchpad. They aren't that hard to replace...

I agree, this is definietly a hardware issue that should be addressed.

Thanks for your replies guys - so a new touchpad is something I can replace myself, when they send me the new part?
