    nc8430 problems with xp sp2

    i bought my laptop 2weeks ago and everything was ok, till yesterday.when im using my laptop screen goes in blue colour(for 1 second) and then restarting itself. and sometimes there is some comunicate that systes has found 2 serious errors and if i want i can send report to microsoft. what does it mean?ive got no internet and dont know what to do.

    You are getting the blue screen of death. Try running the laptop with nothing but the AC adapter attached for a little while and see if it pops back up.

    Most likely, a piece of hardware (printer, scanner, TV tuner, etc) probably has a driver that isn't happy with XP. This is the most common cause of the BSOD.

    If the laptop runs perfectly fine with no devices attached, start plugging them in one by one and run the laptop for a while to confirm the BSOD isn't there. Once it comes back, the last device is probably the cause and you might need to get some updated drivers off of the internet. Places like Panera Bread or a library would have access to free internet.

    If you get that BSOD with no devices attached, back up your data and try to use the recovery partition to restore XP to it's original state. If that doesn't fix it, call HP and/or post again.
