Could any of the nc8430 users try to connect their notebook to some external CRT monitor and try signal quality with resolution 1280x1024/100Hz or similar?

I've tried X1400 build in Lifebook E8210 and the quality was OK, but I'm not sure about X1600 in the nc8430.

    Hi,
I dont believe signal quality has anything to do with the graphics chipset used, its more to do with your cable and monitor. There should be very little if no difference between the x1400 and x1600.

Just curious, any particular reason you need a 100Hz refresh rate? Unless your particularly sensitive to refresh rates, anything over say 85 Hz seems overkill.
