This is a decent laptop, with a good design, reliable build, and good battery life...with a Balanced power plan, the battery will last about 2.5-3 hours..

how is this model compared to dell inspirion/vostro or lenovo n200
even if its 15.4" and heavier,
i'm interested in comparison of technical details.

    thanx again.

I don't know about Inspirons but out of all three of your choices there. I'd list them in this order:

    1. HP DV2700
    2. Lenovo N200
    3. Dell Inspiron

The DV2700 should run Vista fine, with no more problems than anyone else's configuration. You have dual-core Core2 based processor at a reasonable clock speed, 2GB RAM which is sufficient (I'd say bare minimal, to be comfortable) and the X3100 which'll be good to your battery life but won't be out standing in any gaming arena. However the X3100 will run Aero sufficiently.

here in Israel it costs about 1235$ with just 1 year warranty,
i'm doubt if 1 year is enough for Hp's notebooks, the're still not like thinkpads.

    what do u think ?
