I bought the corsair pc3200 #VS1GDS400. Once I installed it and powered the notebook back up, it would beep about 3-4x then never start up. What do I need to do to get it to work? Thanks

Return it and buy a Crucial PC3200 SODIMM.

Alternatively, remove the HP-supplied SODIMM so that only the Corsair stick is installed. See if you can boot MemTest86+. If so, let it run for at least half an hour or until it finds errors. If there are no errors then the Corsair and HP-supplied memory simply don't play nice with each other. Buy a second Corsair stick (and verify the new configuration with MemTest86+) if you need additional RAM.
