hi. i am currently looking around for a laptop for my studies+entertainment and i was interested in the Pavilion dv4t. But i have a few questions about it base on the specifications. Please help me answer them! Thanks! Sorry if its stupid questions, I'm new to notebooks. :p
Questions are based on this review

1.) ''The Pavilion dv4t includes the Intel Core 2 Duo processor and the new GMA X4500 integrated graphics, or one of the Nvidia’s GeForce dedicated GPUs.''(taken from link above) What do they mean about one of the Nvidia’s GeForce dedicated GPUs? Would I be able to choose Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT?

2.) ''The dv4 sports 802.11b/g wireless support or the new Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100AGN module supporting 802.11n draft standard. There are also an optional Bluetooth module, and an Ethernet LAN port. According to a specifications sheet, the dv4 does not have a built-in modem.''(also taken from the link) Will I be able to connect to wireless internet with this specs? I'm confused because of they don't have a built-in modem.

3.)''The laptop supports up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 320GB of hard drive storage, and a DVD burner or Blu-Ray Disc drive.'' Do i get to choose the size of hard disk?

4.) Do you think it will be released on the same month worldwide? Cause I'm in Singapore.

Thanks in advance for answering my questions. :)

    1) According to the data sheet its either NVIDIA GeForce Go graphics available (UMA) or Intel Graphics Media Accelerator X4500 (shared). Both are pretty much integrated cards, not dedicated.

    2) It probably does not have a 56k dial-up modem. Wireless connections are differfent

    3) Yes if you configure it on the website

    4) Probably with in that month, expect delays.

It will usually sold online first before it hits the retail stores. The one you buy from stores are already pre-configured.

No you wont be able to upgrade the graphics card

Pavilions isnt exactly a gaming notebook, it is an entertainment notebook. You might wanna choose the right machine.

If your still interested in pavilions check this out.
