I have four computers two wired and two wireless One of the wireless computers Dv 6000z can see all the computers and get all there files. The other three computers cannot see the DV 6000Z. I have checked all the firewall connections and all the computers are checked the same.( DV 6000Z sees all computers but they do not see it)

Denmick, I had some issues getting my Vista laptop to communicate with the rest of my network. I downloaded the LLTD patch required to get XP rigs to communicate with Vista rigs, and everything else that was thrown at me. Finally, I just shut down all my computers, unplugged everything from the router, unplugged the router and modem, then plugged the system back in in reverse, and when it started I had a completely functional network. I don't know what it was, but I think totally reseting the router is what made it all happen. Try that just for a goof.

I tried the router and the modem and still does not work. I called hp support and every time I have a difficult problem they tell me I have to use their advance support for $49.95 . What good is a warranty if they can only help you with the simple things that go wrong with the notebook. HP support cannot answer difficult problems. The other thing that I hate is they have 12 call centers around the world and I aways get India for support. I have a cheap Emachines computer and their support is second to none and get a person all the time in the US.

Try ping-ing the other computers from the DV6000
    Start - Run - cmd
in the Prompt enter "ping xxx" where xxx stands for the IP address of the other computer. Sometimes network computers can be reached but do not appear in My Network Places. To check if you have connection to the other computer, go to RUN menu and write \\"name of the computer".
If you can ping it, you can access it.

I can ping the dv6000z but cannot see any shared files on the dv 6000z (access denied as above)

Have you gone to windows explorer and ensured the file folders you are trying to share have sharing enabled?

YOu didn't mention it was "access denied" message. Yet, it's always nice when you can solve the problem by yourself.
