anyone who bought new pre-installed Vista notebooks?

are there anyone kind enough to zip the SWSETUP folder and upload somewhere so we can download the latest drivers for our notebooks (upgraded to Vista)?

i'm tired of talking to hp reps and waiting for their site to update :)

I suggested this in another thread. We really need two (one AMD and one Intel). I'm debating heading over to Best Buy with a 2GB SD card and ripping what drivers I can while no one notices.

The entire SwSetup folder on the machine I checked out last night was around 2.4 GB, so... maybe a torrent file would be in order.

Okay, if I try this, what are the biggest drivers people want?

I know we (ok, "I") need:
    /Audio (Conexant HD audio)
/Misc (all -- includes webcam and cardreader)
    /HPQPDP (Quickplay 3.0 Boot Partition)
    /QPW (Quickplay 3.0 Windows)

Should be around 1 GB (Quickplay's big). If that's it I bet I can get away with it. Any others anyone needs?

OK guys I have everything for the DV6000t and z and DV2000t. Drivers and QuickPlay 3.0. I went to Best Buy 10 mins before closing and starting copying away. No one noticed me. Then 40mins later a guy comes up to me and says, "You know we closed 30 mins ago?" I don't see any webcam drivers but everything has a wierd name so I don't know if they named it differently. I will upload them soon.

The quickplay 3.0 is up on another thread too. I belive the biggest things right now is a working copy of quicklaunch as well as the webcam drivers. Also it seems that Vista doesnt recognise that the notebook has built in mics.

I'm at Best Buy in DC right now. Sitting behind a HP dv9260nr. Just backed up SwSetup and the zipfile of current drivers that Driver Genius made.

Anyone got a place I can back this up?

How large is the file? I have plenty of space on my FTP and can set it up to download from a webpage.
