So I just got my dm4 today and everything is great about it, except when i go to the dxdiag and when i click the display tab it says
Name: Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Manufacturer: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc.
Chip Type: Intel(R_ HD Graphics Family
DAC Type: Internal
Approx. Total Memory: 3860 MB
BUT when i bought my laptop i ordered the 1GB AMD Radeon(TM) HD 7470M GDDR5 Discrete Graphics card option. So my question is: did HP just not put it into my laptop? it has the nice Radeon graphics sticker next to the fingerprint reader. I went to the hp website and installed the driver for it...but my i did it incorrectly. Please help.

here is what i downloaded for the driver

The dm4 should have switchable graphics with both the Intel integrated and AMD graphics. Use GPU-Z or any such utility and it should list both graphics. Also, if AMD catalyst control center is installed it should provide you with options to set a particular program to use either the dedicated or the intel graphics.

ok i just did the GPU-Z and it listed both, how does the switchable graphics work? i am ignorant
