I'm stuck between buying either the new dv5t or dv6t. Are there any major differences between the two? Any opinion is welcome and appreciated!

Well, the first difference that comes to mind is that the dv6 (select edition) comes with a metal casing, while the dv5 has a standard plastic casing. Also, the dv6 has a 15.6" screen, while the dv5 has a 14.5" screen.

I would say choose the DV6. You'd be getting better specs for almost the same price.

Currently HP is offering free upgrade to 4GB of ram and 500 GB hard drive for the DV6t (while only 3gb and 320 for the dv5).. The DV6t has the option for a graphics card. (if you select the SE, the ATI 512mb would be standard, no extra money. DV6t also has the fingerprint reader.
