i just received my new HP dv9500t yesterday and it is slick. The hardest thing to get used to besides Windows Vista is going from an IBM pointer to the trackpad. Since the trackpad sits closer to the front of the laptop i feel like my wrist is at a funny angle when using it in my lap. Other than that, so far so good. The ultra bright screen is beautiful!

I have one question, does anyone know if left click and right click buttons are supposed to be at equal heights? My left click button seems somewhat recessed.

    Thanks

Congrats on the purchase, I'm expecting one soon. To be quite honest I'm not sure about you're question, but I thought I'd say congrats on the buy, and I'm glad you're enjoying it. I'm sure Vista's a ton of fun getting used to.

Mine is the opposite! The left button is actually slightly higher than the right, but I didn't release it until you pointed out the unequal recession of the 2 buttons.

Mine left click is like that too. It was one of the first thing i noticed when i pulled the screen up...sorta depressing. It hasnt affected the clicking ability though, so woo hoo for that
