    Dear All,

    I am planning to buy a new notebook soon, probably HP DV1000 series. I see the price is dropping recently, just wonder if a new spec will come out very soon. As I do not want to regret if a new spec come out immediately after I bought.

    I had a HP DV1000 series before I bought my new laptop a Fujitsu N3510 a week ago. I've only used the HP for 3 months. The Fujitsu is just so much better than the HP whether in the quietness of the laptop and the speed...other than the weight of the fujitsu everything seems to be better...The built quality of this laptop and the screen is so much better.

    The HP DV1000 laptop is very noisy eventhough you're not doing anything with it...The one I had, had 512mb ram but it still lag at times...and definitely is not suitable for gaming...The reason why I first bought it was the 14 inch widescreen, with remote control, and bluetooth which were all very handy. However it's just unbearable to use a laptop which feels like as though it was made 5 years ago...

    So here are some experience I had with the HP laptop. Good luck with your purchase if you do decide to get one.

    They continually update the product line, so waiting for the next thing is an impossible game to win. There aren't any material changes in CPU though.
