Open the a command line window and type: powercfg /hibernate on
    See if that helps.

    thanks steve p

i try the google, and fiind this is a real issue for windows.

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/888575/
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/108393/

    so i edit the boot.ini, plus /MAXMEM=4096

after restart the system the memory is changed to 3G. so that mean there are 1G memory is located in 5G-8G address. so i choose to go back.

in a word, if you notebook is max support 4G, then you will not meet this problem. but if you max support 8G, then maybe you will meet the same problem as me. so you need choose, plus /MAXMEM=4096 to enable the hibernate, but maybe some memory is useless. or don't use hibernate, i choosed the later.
