This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     no power meter icon on taskbar... help!

    i'm using compaq v2000 running on winXP pro sp2

    each time i on my laptop i don't see the power meter icon on my taskbar. it really gives me a headache as i won't be able to know when my batt is gonna end

    what's happening? any other program alternative i can use? i've tried battery bar but it doesn't show me info when i mouse over the icon on taskbar

    Go to control panel, then power options. On the advanced tab, there is an option to show in system tray.
