    no sound on my dv9000

    Iv bought dv9000 and iv tryied to install XP on it but....

    i have few problems
    1) no sound
    2)in device menager "coprocesor" is working wrong
    3) also something like "other PCI Bridge Device"
    4) and SM Bus controller is not working as well

    my wireless is working good but i dont have internet by LAN (when i plug in a cable)

    Can somebody help me?

    Did you slipstream your motherboard drivers onto a XP install cd? Sounds like you skipped a step in the stickied thread at the top of the forum. Please take a minute and re-read the instructions. The only reason I can think of it not working was you have an AMD version vs the Intel (which the guide was written for). Which version do you have?

    PLZ somebody help. Im giving up. I cannot do anything, no progress in my notebook. My laptop is based on AMD technology and I cant find any AMD chipsets to slipstream them with win xp. Mayby there is a problem with my computer ( i think ).

    One again i need help with:
    Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
    Coprocessor
    Modem Decive on High Definition Audio Bus
    Other PCI Bridge Device
    SM Bus Controller

    (so i dont have sound, internet is not working by cable, SM card reader is not working)

    PLZ!! HLP!!

    You have an Nvidia chipset not AMD, so you will have to download and install the Nvidia nforce chipset drivers. Downloads are available from HP as well as Nvidia. That should take care of the Coprocessor, ethernet & SM Bus Controllers in the device manager. It will also install the SATA HDD drivers. No need to slipstream since you can install after XP installation.

    To install the audio/modem drivers you will have to install the MS UAA drivers and for the media card reader download and install the drivers from HP's support site for the dv9000z...

    Thanek u guys for help that u made for me, but iv got few things undone and i cannot hendle with that by my own. I need ur help once again.

    1 Coprocessor is still missing

    2 I have 3 times that "Base system device" is missing as well

    Can somebody tell me what to do

    (iv tried meny drivers, updates by net but nothing helped, mayby u will?
