Did you slipstream your motherboard drivers onto a XP install cd? Sounds like you skipped a step in the stickied thread at the top of the forum. Please take a minute and re-read the instructions. The only reason I can think of it not working was you have an AMD version vs the Intel (which the guide was written for). Which version do you have?

PLZ somebody help. Im giving up. I cannot do anything, no progress in my notebook. My laptop is based on AMD technology and I cant find any AMD chipsets to slipstream them with win xp. Mayby there is a problem with my computer ( i think ).
One again i need help with:
Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus
Coprocessor
Modem Decive on High Definition Audio Bus
Other PCI Bridge Device
SM Bus Controller
(so i dont have sound, internet is not working by cable, SM card reader is not working)
PLZ!! HLP!! -
You have an Nvidia chipset not AMD, so you will have to download and install the Nvidia nforce chipset drivers. Downloads are available from HP as well as Nvidia. That should take care of the Coprocessor, ethernet & SM Bus Controllers in the device manager. It will also install the SATA HDD drivers. No need to slipstream since you can install after XP installation.
To install the audio/modem drivers you will have to install the MS UAA drivers and for the media card reader download and install the drivers from HP's support site for the dv9000z...
