okay first time here and i just need the answer for this annoying noise.
is there a way to stop it?
if not, what should i do to this darn computer. if i send it back to hp can they fix it?
or should i sell my laptop and buy a differetn one.
i have a hp pavillion dv6000 speical edition, this site doesn't seem to have my comptuer. more specifically dv6452se

also, is it just me or does vista take a really long time to load.
i usually see a black screen with my cursor for a while before i see my desktop.
i'm really starting to hate vista and hp

    1) What noise?

    2) Check out this thread for tweaks to speed up Vista.

    3) In the same thread, the first tweak is how to get rid of the black screen.

    4) Cheers!

I would suggest you perform a clean install on your computer. When I first received my laptop it came with a lot of bloatware. Which is all of that Hp software that you dont need. At first my laptop was really slow to start up. After you do the clean install you'll notice the huge difference. Check the instructions in the sticky on the first page of this forum.
