    :mad: I bought a compaq presario notebook pc for my daughter for Christmas, We came home yesterday she turned it on and the screen had different colors called the company and they tell me it means the screen is cracked I have to send it in and pay to have it fixed it will cost $30 less than what I paid for it ,They said warranty doesn't cover it this is BS cause it was not dropped or anything she had the it for 15 days I will never by from them again

    Yeah.. . I didn't even realize they made them anymore but they've always been a pretty crappy company.

    Seconded. For the cost of a comcrap pissario and a warranty of sufficient coverage, I can just buy a ThinkPad ;)

    I would try the store saying "she just opened it" and it was DOA.
