    nothing plays

    i went to go listen to my music on itunes but when i pressed play nothing happened. i thought the problem was with itunes so i reinstalled but nothing.
    i tried a different music player and the same thing happens. all my music is in .mp3 format. does anyone know what could be wrong???

    i updated my sound driver and restarted my computer but still nothing...

    just discovered any video won't play either.

    have you installed any codecs lately? I've seen some bad codecs mess up video and sound on a PC. if you have you might want to uninstall them. also keep in mind applications such as NERO and ROXIO burning also install codecs. at lot of times, just reinstalling the last few programs you've installed fixes certain issues.

    i uninstalled a codec package i downloaded a few months ago along with reinstalling aim and itunes.

    and my music and videos play again!!!

    only except everytime i try and open itunes it says it has stopped working :(
    im gonna try and uninstall then reinstall one more time.

    yeah... so... no matter how many times i uninstall itunes, restart my computer and reinstall, everytime i try and open it, it says "itunes has stopped working"
    and then i tells me to download the updated version of itunes but that's the version i DID upload.

    i neeeeeeeed itunes. someone please help :(

    It's the problem with the new aim.

    This is what screwed up my other computer.

    You have to do a system restore to the point before you installed aim...and DON'T REINSTALL AIM

    I hate to seem grumpy but this is a perfect example of how not to ask a question on a forum. If you cant provide information in a clear format nobody is going to be able (or want) to help you.
