was going to order the hp dv 2000t. 2ghz intel core 2 duo. 120 gb HD. Geforce nvidia go 7200. 1-2gb ram. I am thinking is it worth it to wait?I do not need the laptop right away, but I know that windows vista is coming out and there will probably be many bugs with that. If i waited a couple months. Would I still be able to get this laptop with windows xp and will it be cheaper since vista will be out already? I probably will order it from the hp site. I want my price range to stay between $1000 and $1350

I highly doubt that they will start selling laptops loaded with Vista just after the OS's launch.

Do you know how many phone calls they will receive about any errors they encounter, regardless of their severity?

If you wait after Jan. 27...it will be at a different price. Reason for its high price right now is the holidays. Look at my sig. all of that is less than 1k. (the extra rams costed around 80 bucks per gig) All in all about 1,170 and that was a few months ago.

Hopefully, you're a student so you can take advantage of HP's APP discount.

You got all that just for $1170?
    [HP V2000T~ T7200 Core 2 Duo (2.0 ghz), 2GB (2x1GB), Go 7200 LPL Screen, 80GB, 12 cell battery, 1.3MP Webcam w/ Bluetooth]

So you are saying that if I wait longer, the price will be cheaper, right?

Why the date Jan.27? Anything special about this day?

Isn't it suppose to be the other way around. Holiday season means lower price since companies are fighting for your buisness.
