Hello,
i am about to receive my new laptop nx9420 next week after giving away my dv8375ea, and i am quite curious to hear if anyone knows if the nw9440 keyboard with the blue pointstick in the middle would work on my nx9420?
I know it may sound a bit weird to some of you, still being a Thinkpad user for more than 5 years, gives me a hard time while trying to use any other laptop that just has a touchpad.
Additionally, in case the RH457ET version of the nx9420 i purchased does not come with a fingerprint reader ( it was not clear during purchase time ), will i be able to change the touchpad with another that also offers the FP reader as well and get it to work properly?
Thanks
John

I don't have the nx9420, but I will speak on my experience with the nx8420, which is simply the 15.4" equivalent of the nx9420 I believe. The keyboard with pointstick works on mine because the systemboard between the nx and nw models are the same and they have the connector for the pointstick.
The fingerprint reader should work too, but you'll have to purchase the entire top assembly which comes with the fingerprint reader, not the touchpad. The fingerprint reader is an internal usb module which connects to the systemboard too.
nw9440 keyboard with pointstick fit in a nx9420?
