    nw9440 matte brightness is fairly low

    The overall brightness and vertical viewing angle are disappointing. Using the Fn+Brightness keys is almost imperceptible. :(

    I almost want to return this, but the keyboard, touchpad, touchkeys, and noise level are all excellent.

    Sheesh. This screen's brightness at full is basically the same as 2/8 on my mother's older matte 15" Toshiba,

    I'm an idiot. The ambient light sensor was messing with the brightness. Carry on, nothing to see here.
