    hi! a planing to buy an hp compaq nx7010 and i would like to hear your thougts. any recomedetions. i planning to use it for cad applications so i need i fast cpu and a lot of ram! 1.7 centrino 512 ram ati radeon 9200 60gb hard disk is my selection. ant other option for my cause? or any other brand at those specs? thanks!

    2D CAD or 3D? The AMD Athlon 64 3700+ CPU is the best choice for CAD work, even if you're using a 32-bit OS and applications. Check out the HP zv5000z and Compaq R3000z (same guts, different case). If you're doing 3D CAD work... the GeForce 440 Go GPU might be a bit slow. It's a rather heavy machine though, 8.5 pounds with the 12-cell battery, battery life is in between a Pentium-M (Centrino) and Pentium 4.
