    But cant one display widescreen on a 4:3 screen if you needed too? Only diffrence is you get black borders above and below? I like the features of this notebook. Anyone know if a SXGA+ screen can handle 640 X 480 incase it is needed for "newer" 3D games?

    I don't think you can display widescreen resolutions on a 4:3 LCD. You can see DVD's in wide screen, but nothing else.

    SXGA+ LCD's can display 640x480 as long as the game supports this resolution. If you have screen stretching enabled, it'll fill the screenm, but be graphics will look a bit grainy/fuzzy. You can disable screen stretching and it'll look sharper, but there will be black borders around your screen.
