hello everybody, i'm new to this forum, but fear not, i'm not a pc n00b ;)
so after an extensive search i found out the best laptop i can get for my money is the HP nx6325 with Turion64 X2 TL-52 1.6GHz.
link with the full specs from the shop i'm buying it:
    http://www.novashop.ro/laptop/lapto...4-x2-tl-52-1-6ghz-vista-home-basic-p1140.html

    so my concerns/questions are:

    1. how noisy does the nx6325 get? i mean when i use it for office stuff like browsing the web or using MS Word does the fan kick in? if yes, can i avoid this by underclocking it?

    2. how bad is that light leakage on the 1024x768 res screen?

    3. is this matte screen better than a glossy one for use in a big office hall with lots of lightsources?

    thanks

THe machine probably stays quiet, but I do not own one, and can not confirm this. Most new laptops run very quietly. I would rather a matte screen than a glossy one for office work.

i'm asking because i''ve heard that the cooler is always on, even when it idles, that's why i'm worried, i went into a showroom and played a bit with the nx6325 and i noticed that it was blowing hot air through the left side even when it just sat there idling but i coudn't hear how much noise it was making because the showroom was very very noisy

i have an nx6325, so ill give you a some of my impressions about the unit.
    tl-60, 1gig, 100gb, sxga, bluetooth

1.Quiet...i mean whisper quiet, i can only hear it run if i place my ear directly on the machine
2.I have an sxga matte screen, absolutely no reflection(great if your in a classroom), and the text is razor sharp. There is however, significant light leakage visible on a dark screen. Not a problem 99% if the time however.
    3.Amazing keyboard
    4.Rocket fast
5.Built like a tank, not like a sherman tank, more like an abrams....an absolute rock
6.Good viewing angles side to side, marginal viewing angles vertically
    7.Overall, I love this laptop
