I am very close to making a purchase. I am still undecided on 17" vs 15" but the nx7400 is on my short list for 15". It seems to have the edge over 6000 series in battery life.

I know this has been asked before but I found a lot of mixed opinions on the nx7400 screen quality and brightness. Can any nx7400 owners comment on the quality of the screen? How does it compare to the dv6000 series? I read at least one user who thought the screen was dim & crappy....

    TIA

i own a nx7400 and i can say that the screen quality is good. it's widescreen. get one with brightview if you want bright, clear, crisp graphics and movies. it's awesome with dvd movies. but only if you view it in the right angle. anyway, a brightview one reflects a lot, which is just normal with glossy screens.
