    Anybody here know which chipset controlling firewire? (NEC, VIA, TEXAS INSTRUMENT..) :)

    As an alternative to the above <shame on me> just take a look in "Device Manager" in "System" in "Control Panel". Look for the entry "IEEE 1394 Bus Host Controller" or something similar, and expand the entry. Should show you who the maker of the controller is.

    Texas Instruments OHCI Compliant IEEE 1394 Host Controller

    Uses a microsoft driver on my NX9420. Driver is located in your c:/swsetup folder :)
