    I ordered an express upgrade but who kows when it will be sent. I am not installing Vista and if I do I will likely buy Vista Ultimate (or premium or what-ever it is called.)

    I would guess it would be conservative to imagine they have at least 1-million upgrades that were claimed and well, every mfg out there is in the same boat. We might see then early summer? ;)

    They have the Vista drivers up for the NX9420/NW9440 but I would bet they will not offer the systems with Vista anytime soon. These are business class systems and companies are not likey to jump on the early adopters bandwagon. I would think Q4 of this year or even Q1 of 2008 will be when they start to offer some model-builds with Vista.

    Another problem is for business systems what stinking version of Vista should they settle on? Since they really do not offer CTO on the NX line it's likely they need to exahust the current inventory of pre-builds.

    Kinda fun to sit back and watch the show though...Vista's release has created as many if not more issues then the OS might resolve.

    I have it on the express upgrade as well, but haven't received it as of yet.

    I'd concur with grump3b. HP would be wise to wait out Vista on the business line until it's been proven for awhile.

    I've received all my express upgrade discs over a month ago, for the nc notebooks. They're the same discs, regardless of model.

    I got my Vista Buisnees disc about 2 weeks ago. I installed Vista with included drivers disc without a hitch. BUT I took it off the same day. Installing programs was H-A-R-D! Thats how Vista is better, lets just make it impossible to install anything that might cause a problem and problem solved. Plus Adobe Encore had to have runaround hack to run and some other programs did to. and so it goes.

    I got XP pro loaded with windowblinds and loking like VISTA if I want to have something different. Run a good virus and firewall program and your good to go.

    Oh ya, did anyone else go through the hoops I had to go through to get this from HP? Holy crap, I mean up teen emails requesting this or that again and again. This went on for quite some time. I threatened to report somebody for harassment if it kept up.

    I had to;

    1.) Print out the attached confirmation of order 1000168034, scan and HP NX9420 receipt.

    Then;

    2.) Email a scanned copy of the confirmation page and a copy of your receipt to:

    [email protected] with the following in the subject line:

    Upgrade Redemption Center POP

    Then;

    3.) Fax the web confirmation page and a copy of your receipt to:

    801-431-5616

    Then;

    4.) Mail the web confirmation page and a copy of your receipt to:

    Technical Upgrade Program

    P.O. Box 1918

    Orem, UT 84059-1918

    and it had to be scanned and then emailed, even though it was in the body of of the email. And this didn't include getting the original confirmation number.

    I received mine for my NX9420.

    But honestly, Vista Business caused me havoc on my lappy, so I'm back down to XP Pro, which works great.

    I have the Upgrade discs, maybe when Vista has a sp1 to it, I'll try again...

    ok...

    but my question was... What status did it have AFTER you made your payment?

    the first one is: COA Validated, Awaiting proof of purchase.
    after that, the second one is: ?!

    SO... What did the status say when everything was in order? just before you receive your package...
