I've had some problems with the latest updates. The first two came up after I installed four updates at the same time (938979, 933360, 939159, 938952).

1 - When I use "Safely remove hardware" in the taskbar, I don't get any "It is now safe to remove your hardware" confirmation anymore. Uninstalling the four updates didn't help.

2 - The web browsers can't always find the URL on the first try, but if I hit enter once more it works just fine.

3 - I can't install the Vista Compatibility, Performance and Reliability Pack KB938979. After initial install and reboot it says that the install was unsuccessful, then it tries to install again, and again... until I hide the update.

HP nx9420 + Vista should be a quite common combination, so I guess I'm not the only one with these problems. It may also be some updated driver that is the reason for this.

Do you know what is causing all this?

try doing a system restore to a point before the updates, then install the performance and reliability update, then reinstall the other updates

Thanks, but I can't do that since I'm having XP installed as well.

However, I have another HD with Vista installed. I'll try to find out the error with that one.
