    When I start up my (newly repaired notebook) I have to hit numlock everytime. I used to not have to do this. How can I make it so that numlock is automatically turned on when I start my computer?

    I'd check the BIOS? I wouldn't think this is something specific with your model, but something with laptops in general...so I would imagine it's the BIOS.
