On most hp's there is 1 or 2 access bays on the bottom of the laptop. A couple of screws hold each bay door on. Just unscrew that. One bay will hold your memory (ram) chips and the other usually your wifi. Sometimes they are both in the same bay area. Your wifi card will have two wires going to it. One usually solid black and the other either black with a white band or all white wire. I would completely unhook the wires, take out the wifi card and re-insert it and then re-install your wires. Pay attention to which one goes where.

You can also try going to hp.com and reinstall your drivers for the wifi. This could also be your problem.

If your product is taking too long to repair, they might offer to replace it. That's just a tip.

Definitely send your notebook back to HP you should be covered by the HP extended warranty for that model to replace the motherboard before it fails

Yes what king said is true send it in If it takes like over a month just call in and explain (nicely) to the first person you talk to the situation and if they say they can't do anything, ask if you can get a live escalation (depending on where you get case mangers usually work 8-5 M-F) and if you cant get that just get a callback setup from a case manager.
