Not for at least a month or so we will here anything. I'm guessing a few weeks after the release of the Envy 14. Or if sales are going great, sooner.

Just got this from an HP rep:

Dan Maxwell : Yes, the notebook you're referring to, is a model lauched prior to HP ENVY 15t-1200. I would recommend that you contact our 1(866)377-5970 and they will be able to assist you in ordering the correct modelENVY 15t-1200 configurable notebook
Eli Fredman : okay... so it is available for order than?
Eli Fredman : just not on the website
Dan Maxwell : Yes, it is not listed on the website, please contact our shopping team to get it configured and ordered

Calling now to see if he is right

Whats new on the 15t-1200? A backlit keyboard, internal cd-drive, and a different design would be nice. I hate that girly floral design!!!

If they add the new features I may just have to wait for this instead of the 14

If they add switchable graphics, some good GPU, subwoofer, backlit keyboard and the extended battery I'm sold on this one.

If thats the case you may as well get the 14" as the 5650 and 5730 are the same except for clockspeed which can normally be overclocked anyway.

Why would they downgrade the graphics card?

And where did you hear this rumor?

i think 5830 5730 is the same because 5800 series with gddr3 memory got bad reviews they just perform a bit better than 5700 though with 800 sp but with gddr5 their perf shines.

Not unless you want a FullHD screen and most likely USB3.

Any chance the new 15" Envy will come with a Radiance E2E display? I would hope the backlit keyboard upgrade would be included of course, but that's the other big "missing" object from the old 15.

The Radiance Display will likely not be offered. Reason is because of the cost. Good displays cost more money to make and having a radiance display on that big of a screen is sure to jack up the price a bit and cost of production. But I hear the screen on the current Envy 15 is still really good, even though it isn't a Radiance Display.

E2E is a must I think, because the bezel on the Envy 15 is a fail.

The manual still says it will have an external optical drive. Any chance it's going to come with an internal? It wouldn't make since to have it in the 14 and 17, but not the 15....
